Fr. Nate Harburg is the pastor of Our Lady of Peace Parish in Bay City, Michigan. He previously served as Pastor of Good Shepherd Parish in Ubly, Michigan, also in the Diocese of Saginaw. He was ordained in 2011.
His high school classmates voted him “most likely to become a priest.”
His parents met as members of the Word of God ecumenical community in Ann Arbor. His father was raised as an atheist and forbidden to speak of God or Religion in his childhood home. He was later drawn to the Word of God ministry.
Fr. Harburg has eight younger siblings, including two adopted. He enjoys spending time with his family, running in 5ks and half-marathons, and writing poems. He graduated from Franciscan University in Steubenville in 2003 and Sacred Heart Seminary in Detroit in 2011, and was ordained that year.
