Fr. Ginu Abraham, MSFS (Missionaries of St. Francis de Sales), was born on January 13, 1975, in Parippu, Kerala, India. He is the eldest son of the late Mr. Abraham Mathew and Mrs. Leelamma Abraham and has two brothers. He was ordained on January 29, 2002, and shortly thereafter, on July 17, 2002, he was sent to serve in the Philippine mission of the MSFS Order. In addition to his pastoral duties, Fr. Ginu pursued higher education, earning a Master of Arts in Religious Education with a specialization in Formative Counseling and Spiritual Direction from De La Salle University in Manila. Fr. Ginu also held leadership roles within the MSFS Order, including serving as the Delegation Superior of the Philippines Delegation. His efforts in animating the Delegation and establishing formation houses and programs were recognized and appreciated by the General Administration. After serving in the Philippines for 19 years, Fr. Ginu moved to the Diocese of Lansing in 2021. From 2021 to August 2024, he was assigned to Sacred Heart Parish in Hudson, Michigan, where he worked alongside Fr. Todd Koenigsknecht. In August 2024, he was appointed as Parochial Vicar at both St. Robert Bellarmine Parish in Flushing, and Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Montrose, Michigan, where he served and supported the local community. He came here to St. Mary Parish and School in July 2025.
