pote ✨ = colloquial phrase for your mate / bro. An old slang word it was revived by the anti-racist movement in the 1990s and used in the slogan: “Touche pas à mon pote” (Don't touch my buddy), but now entered the language as a catch-phrase. Used regularly among guys.

en toute franchise = in all honesty, quite frankly. Drop it just before you’re about to drop some truth bombs.
