Parris Laurie and Sophie McDonald have plenty in common. The two West Coast Eagles AFLW stars are both from the Great Southern, found football after promising backgrounds in other sports and get a huge kick out of being a female football role model.
Their perspective on football is fresh and resonates with many of us who love the social aspect of their football club and the enjoyment they get from being around their teammates.
Along with teammate Belinda Smith from Pingrup, there are three female footballers from the one regional area playing the game they love on the national stage for the Eagles.
