In this episode my good friend Vincent “Vinny” Gallegos flips the script, as a condition of me interviewing him, and interviews me. Vinny and I volunteer together on the Arizona Transit Association Board of Directors and he recently celebrated his two-year return to the Central Yavapai Planning Organization. I wanted to commemorate the occasion with an interview discussing the exciting work they’re doing, so to do that…. Here I am with Vinny in the driver’s seat.
I’m often asked when I will let someone interview me. I like showcasing other people’s careers and accomplishments but with a lot of trust and a little bravery, Vinny convinced me to take the leap. There are probably some things most people didn’t know, or wouldn’t have guessed, about my background and journey toward a career in transportation. I hope sharing my story will help others decide to pursue their goals and accept the support of the amazing community of professionals we find ourselves a part of.
