12-21-2022 Passed Ball Show. John spends the majority of this show speaking of his proudness to be a New York Mets fan right now. The Carlos Correa reported signing is one that he is having a hard time matching throughout the history of the franchise. While expressing his excitement, he discusses the implications on what the Mets have become as it compares to the past perception of the New York Yankees. He also makes it clear that the rest of MLB and their fans will hate the Mets. He also compares the 1986 Mets perception and the fact that the players were hated by other teams to the likeliness of a similar occurrence with the 2023 and future teams. John takes a couple of minutes to discuss the falling apart of the negotiations between the San Francisco “Baseball” Giants and Correa and how bad it looks from their end. How do they pivot to salvage an offseason that obviously had higher aspirations. Go trade for Ohtani? John concludes this program that this day should be enjoyed by all Mets fans, even the many that John does not get along with. Here is to John’s hopes to a great future for his favorite baseball team.
