PASSED BALL SHOW #67 2/14/2013 Part 2 WITH SWEENY MURTI, PAT MAHOMES AND RUBBY DE LA ROSA; Part 2 starts out with my call to former Mets and Twins RHP Pat Mahomes. Pat talks about playing for the Mets teams in 1999 and 2000, his disputes with the Red Sox over wanting to be a starting pitcher and what he learn playing in Japan that saved his career. I speak briefly with Boston Red Sox pitcher Rubby de la Rosa about being included in the mega deal between Boston and Los Angeles involving Adrian Gonzalez as well as how he is recovering from his serious shoulder injury. I speak about the changeover in regards to MLB managers and how there is a lack of all time star power like there was as early as 2-3 years ago. Sweeny Murti calls in to talk about the recoveries of Derek Jeter and Mariano Rivera and how the Yankees will be better than people think. He also touches on what to expect from other AL East teams and what team poses the biggest threat. I finish by going over this date in baseball history, courtesy of baseballreference.com
