In this episode we discuss Passing is a 2021 monochrome Netflix film written and directed by Rebecca Hall adapted from the 1929 novel of the same name by Nella Larson. It is set in 1920s New York City, and stars Tessa Thompson who finds her life upended when her life becomes intertwined with a former childhood friend (played by Ruth Negga) who is passing as white.
