This is the first in a two part series called Failed Train Recordings. There are some very active railroad tracks near Prarie Du Chien, Wisconsin which I wanted to record a train going by. I set up next to the tracks to the north of Marquette, IA and waited for a train. While waiting more than one train could be heard on the other side of the river but none came along on the tracks I was next to so I only got passing traffic.
