おとうと が チョコレート を たべました。(active sentence with transitive verb)

My younger brother ate a chocolate.

チョコレート が おとうと に たべられました。(direct passive sentence)

A chocolate was eaten by my younger brother.

おとうと に チョコレート を たべられました。(indirect passive sentence)

A chocolate was eaten by my younger brother. (I was annoyed by my younger brother)


あめ が ふりました。(active sentence with intransitive verb)

It rained.

あめ に ふられました。(indirect passive sentence)

I was annoyed by rain. ( if I would translate)
