Psalm 9:1-20.
How should my past inform my present? As everyday disciples walking the pilgrim way, our gospel journey is a path unavoidably marked by the muck and mire of life. One effect of life’s muck is that it can become so front and center, so present tense, that we forget to practice the art of remembering. That is, practice the art of purposefully pausing to remember who Yahweh is and how He has faithfully led us every step of our way. The muck and the mire of life cannot be avoided. The question is what will you do/what must we do in the midst of the muck? Answer––In times of present trouble we must remember Yahweh’s past deliverance.
