Pastor Cass shows us how God used the Apostle Paul as a pattern for all of us.
Our service is in direct proportion to how we see ourselves before God. Paul saw himself as the chief of sinners, so he loved much, he served much and he was willing to give his life.
Remember Paul is a pattern for us. How do you see yourself?
Pastor Cass completes Colossians and the book of Philemon and shows us Biblical examples of how Christ has made a difference in a person's life.
The mystery is revealed showing that God is now in us. Pastor Cass continues on with the concept of living our lives through Christ.
Continuing on in Colossians, Pastor Cass shows us what Christianity looks like in real life and how it plays out in the family.
When you take this whole concept of the Christian life and how to live it, we are to focus on above, not of the members of the earth. We are to seek those things above because our life is hid in Christ, in God.
We are to put off the old and realize we are dead to that. Mortify it by faith. Put on the new with all of those things that we have in Christ. We take those by faith.
Our attitude should be towards one another, forgiving and loving and being thankful to God. That is the Christian life.
It's not about certain ways to worship. It's not about false humility. It's not about a list of do's and don'ts. It's about Christ.
The Christian life is impossible for us. Jesus is the only one who can do it. We are to rely on Him. He does it in and through us.
Cass shows how Numbers 5:11-28 is a picture of Christ and the Church showing how we have been condemned and the cup that Christ took on for us. He goes on to explain through various scriptures the difference between legalism and our liberty we have obtained through Christ.
We are complete in Christ!
We were made a new creation when God placed us in Christ and indwelt us with his Holy Spirit. The flesh was set aside so that we no longer have to live in it. We can now yield ourselves to His Spirit and God can work in and through us.
Cass begins a study on Eschatology, a study of the last days. Here, he begins the foundation for this very important study.
In the Old Testament, they did not understand the mystery of Christ. It was not revealed to them, but it is revealed to us now.
In Genesis, God had a plan and it was that He created man in His own image. Man could have perfect fellowship with God and could walk with God, talk with God, interact with God and live forever.
Satan's plan/work is to get man to rebel against God's plan.
