At todayβs Thanksgiving & Testimony Service, Pastor Femi Paul shared a timely and powerful exhortation titled: "You're Waiting to Be Discovered, But You're About to Be Found!"
He opened with Psalm 89:20, reminding us:
π βI discovered My servant David. I anointed him with My holy oil!β β Psalm 89:20 (CEB)
π βI have found My servant David; with My holy oil I have anointed him!β β Psalm 89:20 (NKJV)
To be discovered is to be singled out, sorted from the crowd based on distinguishing qualities. Itβs not just about visibility; itβs about worthiness.
Pastor Femi stressed that "Only servants are found, because they consistently carry out the will of God. Others may be visible, but without the heart of service, they are often ignored and dismissed."
He highlighted the story of David:
π βAnd when He had removed Saul, God raised up for them David as king, to whom also He gave testimony and said, βI have found David the son of Jesse, a man after My own heart, who will do all My will.ββ β Acts 13:22 (NKJV)
David was not just chosen because of appearance or skill. He was found because of a servant heart, obedient across all seasons.
In contrast, Pastor Femi reminded us of Saul:
π βThe Lord has ripped the kingdom of Israel from you today. He will give it to a friend of yours, someone who is more worthy than you.β β 1 Samuel 15:28 (CEB)This is your season of being found, not just seen. May the Lord discover in you a faithful, servant heart - one He can elevate, anoint, and establish!
