Pastor Tina talks with us about how we cannot have spiritual growth without surrendering ourselves to the Holy Spirit. We have to surrender all our anxiety, anger and circumstances, no matter how traumatic. Change is fruitful from the Holy Spirit! Jesus knew His disciples didn't understand this. We have to give up self sufficiency and humble ourselves and rely on God. The opposite of surrendering is striving, God is asking us to give up this focus on ourselves. God wants us to have things and desires, but doesn't want them to have us. Your surrender is a posture towards God! God has planned our our life, why do we resist this? We cannot become detoured by our own desires.
