During the conversation, Dr. Sauer discusses his recent medical mission trip to a remote area of Guatemala to provide endoscopy examinations and treatment to local patients who otherwise wouldn’t have access to those services. As part of this ongoing mission work, Dr. Sauer helped secure valuable medical equipment for the Hospitalito Atitlán (https://hospitalitoatitlan.org/) and worked with local staff to provide treatment to the Mayan population the hospital serves.
