Our friend and “Barbed Wire City” director John Philapavage (@JohnPhilapavage) joins us for an all-inclusive look at ECW’s issues securing a deal to get on pay-per-view. Everything is looking good until New Jack takes a scalpel to the head of barely trained teenager Erik “Mass Transit” Kulas at a spot show, and from there, everyone goes insane. Paul Heyman tries and fails to spin the situation in numerous directions, the ECW house organs try to blame Wade Keller and Bruce Mitchell for the promotion losing their PPV date, and much more takes place over a brief period of time, and there’s a LOT to talk about. Did ECW ever really have a live special booked to air on Network One? How much jeopardy was the PPV deal ever really in? Why exactly did anyone think the Torch crew did anything wrong? What is rumor vs. fact about the Kulas incident? And much, much more.
