Witty and vivid accounts of life in the latter half of the 20th century
I couldn't stop listening to these monologues after I started. For full disclosure, I should say that I discovered them because the writer happens to be my aunt. But regardless of that, I can wholeheartedly recommend them. They paint a vivid and entertaining picture of an independent minded woman's life in the South of the UK around the 60's and 70's. I originally planned to listen to them one at a time, but they were just so absorbing and beautifully read that I was unable to do anything else until I was finished. Perfect if you're planning to spend an evening at home by the fire or a day off work.
