Algerian and Christian are two words that many people do not put together. Dr. Patrick Brittenden does. In a country founded on a vision of being irreducibly Muslim and Arab, what does it mean to be both fully Algerian and fully Christian? At the heart of this book is the idea of liminality—the experience of living between worlds.
