Patrick Lencioni joins Dr. Krish Kandiah for a conversation about his work as an author, speaker, consultant, and founder of The Table Group. Patrick shares about his quick success in life and how it quickly taught him that these things he was chasing didn’t actually matter. He realized that the worldly success he wanted was a reflection of a broken view of leadership he held; instead of being a leader to meet a need, he was driven by the desire to be seen as important. Thankfully, he recalls, God got a hold of him and showed him that pride was getting in the way of becoming the leader he was made to be.

Patrick discusses the importance of leaders serving those around them and not just waiting for retirement to become philanthropic or charitable. Patrick often has to remind executives that they will have more impact on their employees and their spouses and families than almost anyone else, so to impact in this world, they should start there.
