"I would love to hear your opinion on whether to read the source material before or after a MCU show or movie, if one is so inclined. Obviously reading the comics isn’t a requirement to understand or enjoy the MCU, but I can see how it would heighten one’s experience. However, as we saw with WandaVision, familiarity with the source materials may be a hindrance if someone gets too attached to an existing storyline or focuses on speculation instead of the content presented. Not knowing the comics, I was one of the Patrons surprised by the Bucky - Winter Soldier reveal. That was a great experience. Conversely, having read and loved the Jason Aaron Mighty Thor run, I have extra anticipation for Thor Love and Thunder, which is a fun experience in a different way.
