It all started with a simple question. While working on a house, I got friendly with the owner, who happened to be the MD of Offshore Helicopters. I asked if there were any jobs available, and he mentioned they were looking for ramp operatives.

But it didn’t stop there. He told me about an upcoming opportunity to train as a winchman, even for those without prior experience!

At 38, I took a leap of faith, applied, and after a rigorous selection process, I landed the job. Fast forward 20 years, and I’m still in aviation, helping save lives.

Sometimes, it just takes a moment of courage to change your life.
