Paula and I had such a beautifully messy and meandering conversation about Motherhood. It can be difficult to whittle these convos down to a few words or ideas but here goes!
Some things we touched on: staying present and holding space for our children to receive their gifts and guidance which in turn allows them to fully express who they are in this lifetime; how unprepared we are for motherhood; how our kids really just want to spend time with us; that the more we can heal ourselves and work on ourselves the better guides we can be for our families and these shifts are so present in our children.
At the end of our chat Paula talks about her experience of a spiritual emergence (clinically known as psychosis). I'm so glad she shared about this as so many women go through a period of postpartum rage, anxiety, depression, and psychosis. We need to speak up and share these experiences to help one another and to truly know we are not alone in this.
Thank you Paula for your time and your wisdom and for sharing your beautiful heart.
