“Paul’s Concern for the Church” — Colossians 2:1–5

In this message from our Foundations series, we explore the heart of the Apostle Paul as he shares his deep concern for the believers in Colossae. Though he had never met them face to face, his love for the church—and his desire for their growth in Christ—burned deeply.

Paul’s words remind us that Christianity is not a solo journey. We need one another. In a world that values independence and isolation, the church is called to courage, unity, assurance, and truth. Paul shows us what it means to be:

Courageous in heart — standing firm against deception and discouragement.

Cooperative in love — being knit together in the body of Christ.

Confident in salvation — resting in the assurance of what Christ has done.

Convinced by truth — holding fast to the gospel amid persuasive lies.

This passage reminds us that spiritual maturity requires community, courage, and deep roots in the truth of Christ. When the world seeks to isolate and confuse, the people of God must stay connected, grounded, and steadfast in faith.
