Sosthenes was the leader of the synagogue at Corinth that opposed Paul. He converted to Christianity and served with Paul in establishing churches in Europe and Asia. With his familiarity of the church at Corinth, Sosthenes explains the last half of Paul's letter known as First Corinthians.
