While traveling witht the caravan Hal Linley invites Aaron to go hunting so they can have time to talk. While hunting they run across a group of enslaved people. Aaron intervenes, killing several people, including a man who is raping a young girl who is bound. The woman is an assassin who was kicked out of the guild and soon to be murdered.
