Right, we know what you’re thinking. How can you really say, “Should I Bother Volunteering?” if you’re not a heartless pr*ck. Or in this case, Cruella De Vil.

But let’s be honest, even though we know volunteering is a good thing to do, sometimes you don’t have a second to scratch your arse, never mind give time to anything else - especially something that doesn't benefit you directly.

The fact is when it comes to volunteering our time, we all struggle to be selfless without being a bit selfish. And volunteering with animals specifically, what you really want to know is, “how much of this will be playing with animals vs. cleaning up their shit”.

Let’s call a spade a fu*kin spade lads!

In this episode that sort of speculation is pretty much the focus, as well as “why would anyone bother with this”. We'll also discuss what to expect if volunteering at an animal shelter is something you’ve been actively considering. 

Next week, we’ll talk about our first hand experience of volunteering at a local shelter and if you do in fact, become a bona fide sh*t cleaner. But we’ll cross that kennel when we come to it.
