Welcome to the first episode of How Does This End? A storytelling space for my short fiction. Today’s episode was inspired by Latif Nasser, a well-known journalist and podcaster. He did an episode of Radiolab called “The World’s Biggest Scavenger Hunt: A Guide To Finding Stories.” In it, he talks about looking through trade magazines for inspiration. I decided to follow his advice and do just that. I stumbled into a rabbit hole of food topics, one of which, eventually became the fodder for the first draft of this story. This is Pay The Piper.
