What does it mean to be a gentrifier? Charla and Lauren contemplate what this means when you are a black woman moving to a city like New York City. Asha Boston was born and raised in Brooklyn and knows all about what it looks like for folks to come into a new neighborhood but have little understanding of the history behind it. In this episode, she talks about what that history looks like, how she channeled her background to design a Nike shoe and what it looks like to pay it forward
