On today’s Pop Confidential episode Jamey, Luke and Jillian are joined by guest blogger and reality TV enthusiast Akash Nikolas to discuss the latest in pop culture headlines and scandals, including:

Jersey Shore’s Snooki is arrested and The Situation may be appearing on Fox’s Bones this fall. In other reality TV news Kate Gosselin will be making a guest appearance on Sarah Palin’s Alaska, but you might be surprised which PC member will be tuning in and who won’t.
It turns out that in addition to creating a sex tape to fast track her celebrity Montana Fishburne was arrested for alleged prostitution a year ago. However, Montana isn’t the only celebrity with a sex tape, so does American Idol winner Fantasia Barrino, who finds herself in the midst of a cheating husband scandal.
American Idol’s decision to get rid of judges Ellen and Kara leads to a lively discussion of who should replace Ellen, Kara and Simon. Would Jennifer Lopez be better than Jessica Simpson in the Paula Abdul spot or should someone like Cindi Lauper fill the spot? Should American Idol kick Randy to the curb and start with a clean slate? Would P. Diddy make a good replacement for Simon?
Big Brother 12 fans who can’t get enough of the veteran CBS reality series will enjoy Luke and Akash’s discussion as the dive into this season’s “big twist” the Saboteur, Rachel’s crazy antics and if Britney is being portrayed differently on TV than she is on the live feeds.
Laura Bell Bundy signs on to How I Met Your Mother and Jamey is in heaven at the news Carol Burnett is guesting on Glee. HBO reveals plans for a possible Entourage: the Movie.
