Peace Above All
Sunday, March 29, 2020
Philippians 4:4-8 TPT 4 Be cheerful with joyous celebration in every season of life. Let joy overflow, for you are united with the Anointed One! 5 Let gentleness be seen in every relationship, for our Lord is ever near.
6 Don’t be pulled in different directions or worried about a thing. Be saturated in prayer throughout each day, offering your faith-filled requests before God with overflowing gratitude. Tell him every detail of your life, 7 THEN God’s wonderful peace that transcends human understanding, will make the answers known to you through Jesus Christ.
8 So keep your thoughts continually fixed on all that is authentic and real, honorable and admirable, beautiful and respectful, pure and holy, merciful and kind. And fasten your thoughts on every glorious work of God, praising him always. 9 Follow the example of all that we have imparted to you and the God of peace will be with you in all things.
Philippians 4:4-8 NKJV
4 Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice!
5 Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is at hand.
6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
8 Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things. 9 The things which you learned and received and heard and saw in me, these do, and the God of peace will be with you.

We are in uncharted territory. Leading though this time has been difficult to say the least. My concern from the beginning was not the virus itself, but the fear that is driving the narrative. I see very little difference between the response of the church and the response of the world.
Test or trials are great revealers of truth.
The presence of a test or trial is not an indicator of the absence of God.
What influences you from the inside will determine your atmosphere on the outside.
Are you being influenced by the presence of fear of the presence of God.
