Ray and Erika Lindholm, parishioners of Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Atlanta

St. Paul could only compare marriage to the total, free, faithful, and fruitful gift of Our Lord’s life on the Cross! Ray and Erika Lindholm discuss the nature of marriage as a covenant and sacrament, indissoluble, and ordered to the good of spouses and to the procreation and education of offspring. Ray and Erika have been married for 20 years and now put their experience of Catholic married life to great use not just for themselves but also for engaged couples preparing to enter into their own marriages. They will share how the Lord has been at work in the growth of their relationship and some advice for building healthy Catholic marriages.

• Catechism of the Catholic Church, paragraph 1601: “The matrimonial covenant, by which a man and a woman establish between themselves a partnership of the whole of life, is by its nature ordered toward the good of the spouses and the procreation and education of offspring; this covenant between baptized persons has been raised by Christ the Lord to the dignity of a sacrament.”
