Good morning and welcome to Wake Up with Pastor Scot and Pastor Holly.
Today we’re in Isaiah 26:3, and this episode is all about living in perfect peace. The Bible says, “You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in You.” That means peace is connected to what we choose to think about, where we place our trust, and what we remain committed to.
Pastor Scot and Pastor Holly talk about how we have the ability to steer our minds. We can focus on the problem, the uncertainty, and everything that could go wrong, or we can keep bringing our thoughts back to God’s Word. We may not understand why something is happening, but we can still trust that God is working behind the scenes, touching hearts, opening doors, and making our path straight.
This message is also a reminder that peace comes through commitment. Trusting God is not something we do only when life is easy. We stay committed when things get difficult, when people disappoint us, and when we do not see the answer yet. A steadfast mind says, “I am not quitting. I am not changing what I believe because of what I see. I am staying planted in God’s Word.”
Pastor Scot and Pastor Holly also point out that other people should not determine our character. We do not stop loving because someone was unkind. We do not stop encouraging because no one encouraged us. We do not change how we live because someone else made a poor choice. We remain steady, committed, and faithful to what God has called us to do.
If your peace feels like it has been stolen, take a moment and ask where you have placed your trust. Are you trusting God, or are you waiting for the situation or another person to change? Keep your mind stayed on Him. Lean on Him. Hope confidently in Him. That is where perfect and constant peace is found.
