Advent Week 2 – Peace in the Midst of War

What does it mean for Jesus to be the Prince of Peace? In this second week of our Advent series, we dive into the powerful truth that peace isn’t the absence of conflict—it’s the result of victory. Before peace, there must have been war.

We explore the story of Advent as a celebration, a time of waiting, and preparation. From Luke 2 and Isaiah 9 to John 1, we uncover how Jesus ended the war that humanity was trapped in—a war of longing and separation from God. Through His love and sacrifice, He brought us Shalom: wholeness, nothing missing, nothing broken.

- Celebrate the peace Jesus has already won.

- Wait with hope, knowing He will return to restore all things.

- Prepare by being peacemakers, allowing the Holy Spirit to purify our hearts.
