When Jesus was born, it seemed obvious - to Luke, that a higher hand was at work guiding events.  Circumstances aligned in keeping with ancient prophecy (Matthew 2).  Supernatural messengers tip mortals off that something really big is happening.  And paradoxically, socially insignificant people are drawn into these events.  What does it all mean?
