Good For People Who Like to Watch or Be Watched

This is a good collection of voyeur and exhibition stories (let's be honest, a lot of us like to watch). It has variety, so you don't feel like you're reading the same story over and over again. They also don't feel like they belong in Letters to Penthouse. It has straight couples, gay/lesbian couples, and a few with more.

That being said, several of the opening stories didn't do much for me. I was actually on the verge of discarding the book until I got to "Audience Participation", which involves webcams, being broadcast, and catching people who irritate you doing naughty things. "Glass" had a few interesting twists. "Missing Michael" was a m/m story with a sweet touch that everyone can enjoy. "Calendar Girl" was a nice ending. IMO, "Audience Participation" is the best story of the collection.

I get angry with myself when I don't finish a book but the reason I don't finish a book is because it is just horrible.

If you want short spurts of lust with random people having sex, this is a book for you. I need to avoid books like this because I like a plot, twists, characters I can understand or appreciate and a sense of satisfaction when I finish a book. None of these characters are likeable. It's just people hooking up, having sex and moving on as I have moved onto another book.

I bought this book as a Kindle Cloud purchase, and was very unsatisfied with it.

Basically, it's a compilation of submitted short stories, focused around the theme of scopophilia (voyeurism is watching without permission, scopophilia is watching with consent), but the quality of the writing feels like reading bad anonymous forum fiction. Too much of the book is filled with women authors throwing crude words around to try to impress male readers, without actually containing anything erotic... as a female reader, I was left with the feeling of having been smacked in the face with it. There's also a heavy element of non-hetero play, isolating those that wish to read hetero action, but there's no warning of it before you purchase.
