Inspirational Thoughts on the Parsha

Pekudei פקודי 2025 the Merging of the Two Worlds

Listen Later

There are two amazing explanations on the word Pekudei. First , it means to count- referring to when the Jewish people brought the multitude of material and the Kalim of the Mishkon to be counted by Moshe.

The purpose of the Mishkon was to forgive the Jewish people for the sin of the Egel. Moshe, as the leader of the Jewish people, was able to transfer the ownership of materials from the individual to the public- the Jewish people. A second explanation of Pekudei is to bring together. By Moshe building the Mishkon, he brought together all the higher energies and unlimited Kadusha from above. The idea of the Mishkon was to take something limited that could be counted, and through that, to draw down the unlimited Divine.
