A Pennyworth television series has been ordered by Epix - The Hollywood Reporter

Epix is a premium cable network owned by MGM

10 episodes, straight-to-series order

Will be written and executive produced by Gotham showrunner Bruno Heller

Pilot will be directed by Danny Cannon (also directed Gotham pilot), will also be EP

Is not a spinoff of Gotham; Sean Pertwee is not involved

Will explore “ Alfred's origins as a former British SAS soldier who forms a secret company and goes to work with Thomas Wayne — Bruce's billionaire father — in 1960s London.”
