It is very likely that your parents or great grandparents worked a job that provided them a pension when they decided to retire many years later. Unfortunately, such benefits are rarely available to the average American today as corporations pass the buck of retirement savings on to the employee themselves. Now this is not new or a surprise, but it requires us to do some work and take some personal responsibility for our retirement income. Without doing so, it is unlikely that we will end up with anything substantial in retirement, and we will have NOTHING to leave to our children, which is a big downfall of the pension plan. Today, we will discuss:
