Leah Rainis is one of the first females to graduate from the program at the Craft Beverage Institute of the Southeast. She is currently the newly-appointed Education and Events Coordinator at the Asheville Brewers Alliance, a group of local breweries dedicated to the education, training, and collaboration within the brewing industry.
Leah joins me today to share her experience of becoming a female brewer in a male-dominated industry. She explains how her career unfolded from working as a volunteer and paid employee at various festivals to starting her role at the Asheville Brewers Alliance. She also shares tips on how young female brewers can jumpstart their career in the brewing industry through networking and connecting with others as well as some of the new, exciting festivals and events her organization is hosting in the near future.
