- The day of Pentecost, which occurred on the 50th day following the resurrection, was the birthday of the modern church, which we are still part of today. On this day, the disciples - who were waiting together in a small room - experienced the arrival of the Holy Spirit as the presence of God on earth and in people’s hearts. This new connection with God produced amazing results as the disciples went from being timid to boldly preaching the message of Christ. Today, we can have this same powerful connection to God through the Holy Spirit.
