On this day roughly 50 days after Easter, we celebrate Pentecost. Pentecost is the day when the Holy Spirit descended upon the disciples and filled them with hope in such a way that they immediately left the locked upper room and began to preach in the name of Jesus. They did miraculous things through the power of the Spirit and over 3,000 people came to know Jesus that day. It came to be known as the  birthday of the Church.

Today we will talk about the birth of the church and how the church is aging. Join us this morning as we focus on what makes Pentecost so important and how we can honor the move of Jesus by bettering the church.
