When we talk about people, especially historical figures, we often turn them into what I refer to as "stick figures". We make them unidimensional, we make them simple, and we make them uncomplicated. One thing I can tell you I certainly know about people... they're not uncomplicated. All of us, whether we are in a history book, a science book, or no book, we all have many dimensions and facets to who and what we are.
