There are growing fears that six-hour wait times and kilometre-long queues are deterring people from getting COVID tests.

It’s been revealed one in five Brisbane eateries have been rated as having either “poor” or “non-compliant” food safety in the past financial year, according to council compliance checks.

Despite more rain and better conditions, there has been a surge of Queensland farmers applying for special drought payments in the past year to help them make ends meet and put food on the table.
