Over the past few years it has felt like we have seen people become more entrenched and inflexible in their thinking. Stuck in belief even when faced with overwhelming proof to the contrary. It is an understatement to say that it makes things frustrating. Whether we are talking Flat earth, science denier, people who learned history from Wolfenstein games or any of the other nuttiness that seems to be pervading the Internet. it becomes easy to believe that this is a new problem… that we were smarter in the past, but if you truly look back…. That may not necessarily be the truth So today I’m stepping back in time and looking at 4 examples of times people held on to wacky beliefs.
