  • EP#46 Richard Atherton - From Addiction to Expansion
    From addiction to expansion...
Richard Atherton is an executive coach in the structure he founded FirstHuman.
He also hosts "Being Human"โ€”a podcast I admire with over 300 episodes ๐Ÿ˜ฎ
But what struck me the most was not his brilliant and eclectic career (from management consultant to cabaret owner and system coder... you won't believe what Richard did in his life).
It was what he shared in this episode.
    Without filters.
    Without hiding.
    Check a few golden nuggets:
๐Ÿท Richard started drinking at 14.
๐ŸŽ“ He had a brilliant academic track.
๐Ÿ‘Ž He got fired from his first job for being too shy.
๐Ÿคฉ He lived a full, rich lifeโ€ฆ while struggling with alcohol and other addictions
For years, the hangover was the only thing that helped him slow down.
His mind was too fast. Too busy.
    Alcohol numbed the noise.
    Later came more layers:
    โžก๏ธ Alcoholics Anonymous
โžก๏ธ S#x and Love Addicts Anonymous
    โžก๏ธ Co-Dependents Anonymous
    โžก๏ธ Landmark Education
    โžก๏ธ John Bradshawโ€™s book Homecoming
    โžก๏ธ Deep childhood therapy
    โžก๏ธ Primal scream work
    An SO. MUCH. MORE.
    Richard went deep.
And through that depth, he came back.
    Clearer. Softer. Freer.
He now helps leaders turn away from the illusion of โ€œWhen Iโ€™ll finally get X, Iโ€™ll be happy.โ€
Because joy and connection are not at the end of the path.
    Theyโ€™re here.
    Available.
    When we stop running.
Itโ€™s one of the most open conversations Iโ€™ve ever had on this podcast.

  • #44 Frederic Roscop, Osteopath - To be well or not to be well, the choice is yours
Frรฉdรฉric Roscop is no regular #Osteopath.
Last year, he was awarded Osteopath of the year and Wellbeing start-up of the year at the Forttuna Global Excellence Awardsยฎ
Most importantly, Fred is a wizard when it comes to holistic approach of care, focusing on Body, Mind and Energy.
He is a researcher in #QantumBiology and has integrated his discoveries in his brand AEQUIL.
    A few things about Fred:
๐Ÿคง He was very fragile as a kid with tons of health issues
๐Ÿฅด At the age of 8yo, he got lime disease
โŒ It took him over a decade to put a name on his condition, mainly because of mistaken diagnosis
โ˜ฏ๏ธ His mission is to cover the gap between long standing suffering and well being
๐ŸŒ„ This is why all he does is about life long well being
Listen to the full episode and discover how Fred is paving the way to a new era of care, healing and well being.

  • #43 Dennis Wakabayashi - Two Guys In Dubai Talking Customer Experience -
Fellow podcasters are always awesome to host on the show.
And when Dennis Wakabayashi, CX influencer of Expo 2020, founder of CX in the wild, podcaster, public speaker, CX strategist and consultant comes in town, that's even better.
In short, Dennis is a big figure in CX.
During our conversation, we talked about fascinating topics:
๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ Dennis had a modest upbringing in the US and went through stigma and racism
๐Ÿ‘จ๐Ÿผโ€๐ŸŽจ He became a graffiti artist at the age of 16 and his parents learned it... waaay later
โŒ He did not finish high school
๐Ÿคฉ For him, life is a suicide mission where no one made it alive, so... UNLEASH your potential
๐Ÿ“ Measuring CX is a disadvantage when it becomes a focus
๐ŸŽฏ Obstacles to team work are: absence of Unified, Clear and Simple goals
๐ŸŽป If businesses were an orchestra, the biggest mistake they do is to focus on the music instead of the space in between the notes
    AND MUUUUUUUCH MORE!!!!
Dennis, it was a true joy welcoming you on the show. Thank you for passing by and let's do this again!

  • #42 Elizabeth Solaru - A flower can bloom in the desert: here is how
"I'm not good enough", "People take advantage of me", "I'll never be perfect", "What if I disappoint?", ...
If you have ever said one of these sentences in your own mind and struggled to embark on your own journey because of them, you need to meet Elizabeth Solaru.
โœจ Elizabeth Solaru is not the average guest you will listen to.
She is some kind of a phoenix ๐Ÿฆโ€๐Ÿ”ฅ. Not the typical image of the phoenix that comes out of a near-death experience with all the drama around it.
But rather the type of phoenix who came out of a solid and well-anchored mental framework ๐Ÿคฏ
๐Ÿคฉ Elizabeth chose another path to lead her life and contribute to the world in a way that works for her and that impacts others.
โžก๏ธ Here are a few things you will discover in the episode next week:
๐Ÿ“š Elizabeth is an author of 2 books: one on cooking and the other one on Luxpreneurs
๐Ÿซต She finds that often we find Inclusive Visions with Exclusive Executions
๐Ÿ›๏ธ A book is not just an object for sales, it is a historical document that leave a mark
๐Ÿฆธโ€โ™€๏ธ She went from victim to hero of her own life
๐ŸŽ™๏ธ Her podcast Luxury Business Podcast showcases small businesses in the luxury sector https://lnkd.in/dGXeiWKr

  • #41 Josefine Campbell - Give up on one purpose in life: you can have many
Managing my energy... Here is a difficult topic for me.
How to understand my energy? How to sync it with others? Which signals should I pay attention to? What can I do to bring a high level of energy?
These are few of the many questions we cover in the next Episode of the podcast with the great Josefine Campbell, executive coach and Author of the book Power Barometer https://josefinecampbell.com/book-power-barometer/.
During 2 hours, I had a fabulous conversation about Josefine and her upbringing, the importance of martial arts in her life, the multiple jobs she had, until she became the executive coach and author she is now.
Here are a few gems we talked about:
๐Ÿฅ‹ She is a quadruple champion of Japanese Jiu Jitsu in Denmark
โ˜๏ธ Rather than Personal ๐Ÿ†š Professional, try Private ๐Ÿ†š Professional because everything is personal
๐Ÿ—“๏ธ It takes 7 years for ALL our cels to have changed in our body ๐Ÿ˜ณ
๐Ÿ‘พ She sees the mind of people like a suite of algorithms or mini programs and it helps her a lot to coach better
โšก๏ธ You can check your energy level before starting a meeting (it's all in the book!)
๐ŸŽฏ We can have multiple purposes - one purpose alone does not reflect our richness and complexity

  • #40 Aurelio C. Hammer - Life is a SOUND adventure
You might not be ready for this episode.
I spent well over 2h with the incredible Aurelio C. Hammer, a sound healer and explorer, an artisan crafting instruments that impact us through specific frequencies.
Aurelio lives in Auroville, the last standing utopian community of that scale (where the first ever computer company of India was born) and created a company called SVARAM Musical Instruments & Research (https://svaram.org/).
One of his specialties? The mathematics of music (I did not know such a term existed).
You won't believe what you will learn about the powers of sound and its major impacts on our physical, mental and spiritual health.
Here are some extracts of what we talk about in this episode 40:
๐Ÿซ€ Each instrument touches a different layer of our being (for ex: specific frequencies trigger specific organs in our body)
๐Ÿคฉ There are NO ideal circumstances in life: we all go through struggle
๐ŸŒช๏ธ Nature can be brutal, far from the romantic idea he had of humans living in symbiosis with nature
โ“ We always need to be ready for the unknown
โญ๏ธ The future is more exciting to explore than the past
๐Ÿ‘ฒ Back in the Chinese empire, music had a role in social coherence
๐Ÿง  Music opens your feeling, your sync and capacity to work with others AND your intellectual capabilities (you read that well)
๐Ÿ™ There is NO religion nor spiritual tradition without music
I could continue endlessly. This episode is so rich that it will probably challenge pre-conceived ideas you might not even know you have.
If you want to feel the joy of exploring new territories, you will enjoy this episode TO THE MAX ๐Ÿคฉ๐Ÿคฉ๐Ÿคฉ!!!

  • #39 Werner Karnadi - Few words. Big impact. From the Dutch Kendo national coach
He was not great at school. Nor did he know what you wanted to do with his life by his early 20s.
Until he stepped in #kendo dojo.
Werner Karnadi, a Data warehouse specialist, is above and beyond the coach of the kendo Dutch national team.
If you love sports you will be hooked by what Werner talks about during our conversation. And she loves figures you will like the way we discuss data and how to approach it with a human focus.
A truly fabulous conversation for this Episode 39.
Here are some extracts of what we talked about:
๐Ÿ’” He underestimated the emotional impact of being laid off, and spiralled down
๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ A few words from strangers have significantly impacted his life multiple times
๐Ÿง "Don't take things personally" is absurd. How else do you want to take things?
โ“You always have to associate a powerful WHY to your goal
๐Ÿฅ‹ Winning a match is NOT a goal. What you do to get that point IS a goal
๐Ÿคท If I haven't figured it out, then others might have not understood it neither -> I need to explain better.
    AND MUCH MUCH MORE ๐Ÿคฉ๐Ÿคฉ๐Ÿคฉ!!!
Thank you Josh Bishop for the connection ๐Ÿ™โค๏ธ

  • #38 Mark Meyer - The art of being authentic
Authenticity. A word I have always struggled with.
Overused. Misunderstood. Damaging, especially when used to judge people: "He is not authentic..."
And then I received on the show Troels Mark Meyer, the author of the book The Art of Being Authentic (available here: https://a.co/d/8jQuyCb)
I enjoyed the book and yet did not agree with all of it.
I enjoyed even more exploring our respective approaches during the episode.
We both learned a lot. What a great moment of flow, what a joy to move forward with Mark during our conversation!
Here are a few nuggets of what we discussed during the episode:
๐Ÿฅ… Goal driven and Purpose driven are 2 very different ball games with 2 different destinations
๐Ÿ˜ž Trauma is not a matter of "how big it was" but "how you perceived it"
๐Ÿ“ฃ Changing language when sharing your emotions can have a massive impact. Example: Transform "I am angry" into "I feel anger" and see for yourself!
๐Ÿง‘โ€๐Ÿคโ€๐Ÿง‘ It is not just about you. Others play a prime role in the way we live our lives
๐Ÿช„ There is a strong difference between Intentions and Manifestations
    AND MUCH MUCH MORE ๐Ÿคฉ๐Ÿคฉ๐Ÿคฉ!!!
I enjoyed the conversation with you Troels Mark Meyer. I learned so much. I liked the debate. It was a great moment.

  • #37 Joshua Bishop, Part 2/2 - Do it anyway
And there it is. The PART II of my conversation with Josh Bishop ๐Ÿคฉ๐Ÿคฉ๐Ÿคฉ
I received a lot of feedback on PART I. The story of Josh touched and resonated with quite a lot of you.
In that second conversation, Josh and I dive a bit more into the world of film-making and Josh's career.
Here are some of the things we talked about:
๐ŸŽฌ There is a deep difference between US movies and European ones: European movies are NOT made for commerce
๐Ÿค It truly is about who you know
๐Ÿ™ƒ His first documentary Made in Japan was supposed to follow a stellar path and it did not eventually, which was a big let down
๐Ÿ”— You do movies because you HAVE TO (as a personal necessity), not because you WANT TO
โ‰  Career and purpose are two very different things
    AND MUCH MUCH MORE!!!!
