The book of Matthew 13:53-58 reveals how the people doubted Jesus because of their familiarity with him and his family. They became offended at the wisdom and power that flowed through him. This scripture is an encouragement to keep moving forward in the work of the Lord even if rejected by your own people. The most importance lesson of this scripture is that Jesus wanted to do mighty works in his hometown but was hindered by their unbelief. Let us seek God and inquire of him about the areas of unbelief in our hearts.
