There’s a free exhibition of calligraphy at St Peter's Church until the 22 June, when it moves to Romsey Abbey and Portsmouth Cathedral.

Members of Hampshire Calligraphers have produced these 60 exhibits of proverbs and poems written out with different styles of penmanship. 

Sarah Read , speaking to Mike Waddington, says people love a pen and there's nothing like receiving a handwritten letter and for special occasions they are approached to write commemorative or celebratory pieces.
