October 31, 2023 will forever be the day that Retro Church held a prayer vigil to gather our family and friends in New York to collectively plead to God to heal our boy.

Let’s be honest, this was not my favorite episode to record. I am in no way an expert, so leaning on Bible studies, ChatGPT, and various articles to gather information on why the Bible is reliable was not the most exciting topic to speak on. That does not change the fact that the information is accurate and trustworthy.

We all have family members who do not believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God, and some even question whether Jesus was a real person. I can assure you that even well informed atheists acknowledge that Jesus existed. This episode was created for the person who is on the fence about their faith and for the person whose confidence in God depends on knowing they can trust the Bible.

For those who do not believe, no amount of evidence can change their hearts apart from God inspiring them. But for those who are leaning into their faith and need a little extra encouragement, follow Wesley Huff. He presents these facts with clarity and precision and can elaborate on them in greater detail.

It’s easy to give God glory in the midst of answered prayers. It’s easy to give God glory when life is going well.

After 7 years of trying to get pregnant, 3 miscarriages, an ocean of tears, a pond of sorrow, years of grief, and two people clinging to Jesus’ promises….today we see the light at the end of the tunnel. Today we see the joy that lay ahead, today we are announcing that we are officially pursuing adoption!

It may be a long process, but holding our forever baby in our arms is worth it! The same strong support system we had through our valley, is the same strong support system that is going to carry us up to the mountain top! Thank you to everyone who has been a part of our journey, and to everyone who will help us through the next chapter. I know two things to be true as we head into 2022:
1. Brianne will be a mother; and
2. God gets all of the praise!
