Perfect Holiday Cards With Adam Cohen – Ep 38
In this episode of The Dads Toolbox, we are talking about creating perfect holiday cards for your family with Adam Cohen of DaDaRocks.com. Adam Cohen will be a recurring guest with us bringing his expertise from many years of photography to help you be a better photographer and capture images that you will love to keep for years to come!
Being that Adam Cohen grew up working in a photography store, is married to Suzanne Cohen who is a professional photographer in NYC and writes at GothamLove.com and also has been a brand ambassador for Samsung as a part of their Samsing Imagelogger program, we knew that he had a ton of information that he could share with you.
Adam shared some great tips and hints about how to set up and take amazing holiday cards with us today. He talked a lot about the importance of taking some time to think out what you want from your holiday cards. Adam Cohen mentioned that you should always consider the following when thinking about your holiday cards.
* Setting – Where do you want the card to be set. What background would be perfect?
* Lighting – Outside, Inside – Depending on the answer you will have to think about time of day and shadows that may come with that.
* Clothing – Do you want everyone to match? Is there a theme for the card?
Adam Cohen also talked about how you could even build your own backdrop for your own holiday cards such as he did in the below picture (He learned about this from reading about it on a BabyRabies.com post). While it may seem hard, Adam mentioned that it was actually quite easy.
