This is my most vulnerable podcast. I’m telling the truth about wearing a mask for 17 years. The truth is that I’ve had a horrible chronic illness that’s made almost every single day of these last seventeen years a struggle. There have been many days I’ve felt half dead and many days I’ve wished for death. I’ve been wearing a mask of “normalcy” just to get through each day.

Most days there are many things I cannot do, no matter how badly I want to do them. It took 17 years, DOZENS of doctors and tens of thousands of dollars to learn that I have Myalgic encephalomyelitis/chronic fatigue syndrome (ME/CFS) - a serious, chronic, systemic disease.
